You are not alone! 1 in 7 women may experience a mental health issue during or after pregnancy. More than 1 in 10 pregnant women experience anxiety at some point during their pregnancy. As a therapist who has been working with moms for many years and as a new mom myself, I know the struggle is real. I remember saying to myself, “I did not know being a mother would be this hard.” No one talks about the difficult issues that moms-to-be and new moms commonly struggle with, like pure exhaustion, anxiety, irritability, rage, and postpartum regret. No one talks about the havoc pregnancy puts on your body and mental health, nor the many days of feeling joy and frustration at the same time. We often believe that sharing brings about shame and guilt.

As a mental health therapist and mother, I wanted to make sure that women do not struggle in silence during their journey to becoming a mother or figuring out how to be a mother. I understand that being a mom on high demand means that your time is already limited. Therefore, I provide online psychotherapy sessions. Online sessions allow you to meet with me from anywhere, including the comfort of your own home. Anxiety does not have to rule your life or dictate how you want to be as a mother. With the right support, you can take control of your life and be the person and mother that you want to be.

You have already taken the first step toward your own healing. If you would like for me to support you through this journey or want to learn more about online therapy, contact me to schedule a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
